The Manor features beautiful, individual bedrooms, some with private terraces, and lounges with fine antiques, tapestries and furnishings. A manor has stood on this spot since the time of the Domesday Book. The present Tudor- Jacobean house, in honey-coloured stone with slate roofs, has 54 acres of grounds. In the 1930s, it hosted such illustrious guests as T. S. Eliot, who wrote an ode to Charingworth.

Its old-world charm has been preserved during modernisation and each spacious room is furnished with antiques and English fabrics.
