A beautiful period building with wonderful architecture both inside and out. The hotel is five minutes walk to town. Situated adjacent to the railway station on the outskirts of the county town of Northallerton.

Formerly known as the Horse and Jockey in the 1700s, it was a busy place next to the racecourse and grandstand. Renamed in 1800 and transformed in 1901, the hotel has a colourful history.

The main bar features period designs and an open fire place. The newly refurbished lounge/bistro bar is a smaller meeting place and is non-smoking. An attractive function room is situated off the main hall. It is available for many uses: private parties, buffets, and committee meetings. Bar lunches and traditional Sunday lunches are served.

The Station Hotel has 10 newly decorated bedrooms and 5 house bathrooms. Due to the nature of the building, there is no en suite accommodation.
